Vrgada
Vrgada is fishing village placed in Southeastern of Pašman
island. It is only 2,5 miles away from the land. Vrgada is connected
to the shore (Pakoštane and Biograd) by regular ship lines. The
island is ful of pine forests and sandy beaches. There are plenty
of peaceful lagoons with cristaly clear and transparent sea. An ideal
place for lovers of untuched nature. Vrgada is the best place for
quiet rest filled with relaxation and ejoyment. The people of Vrgada
are hospitable and nice - they are the reason to stay at the island
more then just a day.
Island of Vrgada is the island of sun and forts.
The island is placed in southeast part of Zadar’s archipelag.
It is relatively small island with 3,67 square meters. Its north and
souh part are hilly with the highest peak of 115 meters. More then
two parts of area of the islands are covered with thick pine forrest.
The coast is well-indented. Exept of main port, named Luka, there
str several smaller bays, sandy beach named Podbrizi and there’s
also one bigger bay Kranje placed on the south of island. Exept Luka,
all those mentined bays are sandy and accessible for swimmers and
campers. Beside very clean sea and shallow shores Vrgada has fabolous
natural environment: it is surrounded with 15 smaller and bigger islands.
