Primošten
It is said that Primošten is the harmony of sun, sea and stones.
The old sailors nicknamed it «dry peak» because of long
period of drought. The name Primošten derives from "pri
mostu" meaning "to bridge" because the locals five
centuries ago built the bridge to enable access to their fields. Surrounded
by 7 little islands Primošten is gift of nature which nobody
lives indifferent. Hard working people of Primošten made their
town one of the most attractive destination on Adriatic – replacing
in that way modest nature beauty. Stone houses, churches i narrow
little streets make the perfect harmony of past in future. From the
former village place Primošten overgrowth into touristic paradise
of this part of the Adriatic. It is hard to persist to the charm of
this little town. Streets filled with mediterranean atmosphere are
innviting you to feel the warmness of this place and people.
Restaurant Torkul
The tavern "Torkul" exists from the year 2001. and leans
on the tradition and culture of Primošten and Dalmatia. With dalmatian
kitchen, atmosphere and its own name we want to awaken the spirit
of the rich past of the Primošten, and become important part of gastronomic
and touristic offer of Dalmatia.
The tavern is placed in the very enter of historical core of the Primošten,
near the square of Don Ivo Šaric, in front of the entrance of peninsula.
Accompanied with the sounds of Dalmatian music we offer rich choice
of dalmatian kitchen: fish specialities, mussels, meat and wine from
the Croatian origin. Considering food and drink, you can find large
band of the prices. Here you can find the finnest shells and crabs.
The offer is wide and it goes from always fresh meat specialities
(steakes, beafsteaks) to sea food (quality fish, sea crabs te several
kinds of shells). The most famous specialilty of our tavern is food
made under the "peka", especially octopus. We make the emphasis
on a daily fresh food and in keeping the authentic flavour of each
meal. The main characteristic of our cookery is insisting on authentic
and natural.

Graševina, Pošip cara, Bijeli Pinot
